Big Kenny presents his Darfur Documentary at the Nashville Film Festival

Bearing Light: A Journey to Sudan chronicles the journey of Big Kenny and Christiev Alphin accompanied by a small team of multi-professional individuals to the small village of Akon in Southern Sudan. For Kenny, who "knew he just had to... set foot on that land," the quest was a life-changing experience for each one of them, along with the discovery of a story about these wonderful people who, in the face of atrocities, maintain their dignity and grace. The group's visit was not only an inspiration for Akon residents with words and songs of encouragement, but offered hope through a commitment to help build a school for girls in the village.

The film will be showcased Wednesday April 23rd at 7 PM in the Nashville Green Hills Cinema Theater 16.

The evening will include a Q&A with Big Kenny & Christiev Alphin, other special guests & a performance by Damien Horne. More information and tickets are available at http://www.nashvillefilmfestival.org/.

Why not try to go nationwide with your film? I bet the Sundance and the Independent Film channels, even Starz would air the film in a heartbeat.I have seen some thought provoking,as well as,controversial
films on these channels.
More people in this country and the world need a reality check!

I am so glad to hear about the documentary that Big Kenny and his wife made on the Sudan. The atrocities that have happened in this part of the world are just horrible. No human, in any part of the world, should ever have to experience such things life those of Darfur and the Sudan. Every person longs for freedom and safety, and every person deserves it, no matter where they are from or who they are. Kudos to you Big Kenny!
